So I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CC and I am having trouble with the push slide transition. For some reason, it ads black when it starts the transition, and as the push slide goes, it pushes the black out. I am using it on text and a lower third graphic. Would make sense for the black on the text part because it has the option to make the background black, but that option is not selected, so should have a transparent background, showing the video that is underneath. Any idea why this is happening?

Try keyframing Position instead.

That's what I ended up doing since I couldn't figure it out. Stinks how there are these nice transitions, but then don't work. The thing that gets me, is at my old job, the push slide would work just fine like it should, but on this computer it acts up.

Nest text and lower third together, then add slide to reveal video underneath.

Yeah I tried that but it's still showing a bit of black during transition.
