"Invalid Menu Operation" when opening bin

Explorer ,
Feb 23, 2019 Feb 23, 2019

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere - I haven't been able to find a fix anywhere on the forum.

I'm experiencing a bug where the error message "Invalid Menu Operation" appears whenever I open a bin in the project panel. Strangely enough, this doesn't affect the operation of Premiere, and I'm able to open said bin and access its contents without any issue - it's just annoying since I've received upwards of 50 error messages within the past 10 minutes.

Any advice would be appreciated.

When Premiere is acting weird trashing preferences might resolve the issue.

FAQ: How to reset (trash) preferences.

Hi DanielJS97,

Sorry to hear that you are getting an error every time you open a bin in the Project Panel. That's not ideal. Have you tried to reset preferences for Premiere Pro as mentioned above by @Ann Bens? If you are still facing the issue, then we'd like to know more about the issue.

  • Are you getting the same error with all the workspaces?
  • Have you tested a new project for the error?

We're here to help.

Thanks,

Shivangi
