"We were unable to open the file on disk" Premier Pro 2020

New Here ,

I have been trying to import the same .mov files into a Premier Pro project file and I always get this message. The app is completely up to date and the files are definitely not corrupted. Any solutions?

I think some older mov files are not supported as I recall ... but any made by a camera in the last few years should be fine. Are these new or older files ... and made by what?

They are new files actually. Recorded today on my MacBook Air.

I'm not familiar with that device ... amazing things we have these days! ... are the files by chance VFR ... variable frame-rate?

Download the free utility applet MediaInfo. Install it, and then drag/drop one of these files onto the desktop icon for MediaInfo. When the app pops up, select the "Tree view". Make a screen-grab of the video properties of the file.

Use the big blue reply button at the bottom of your first post ... then use the picture icon in the reply box to upload a picture that will show in your reply.
