I am in the process of learning Premiere for my job. I have been tasked with editing instructional videos that have a top-down view of an instructor teaching an art project. I'm trying to determine if the number of hours they have budgeted for each video editing project is realistic or not. Here are the specs:
I am pretty new to Premiere, but have edited videos in other programs like Capcut, so I'm not a complete newbie.
Can anyone with significant experience editing long-form videos in Premiere give me an educated guess on how many hours a project like this might take? They have budgeted 10 hours per video, which seems very ambitious, even for someone with more experience than me, but I could be wrong. I can't share the first finished video I created publicly, but I could potentially share privately if taking a look would help you give a better estimate.
Also, we are open to exploring AI tools that could help speed up this process. Any recommendations are welcome. Thank you!!
I am a home video editor so you are doing things that I don't do... meaning I can't give an direct help
What I do have is a list of tutorials... you may want to scan titles inside the links to see if there is a tutorial that is specific to one of your tasks
I have not checked the links lately, so some of these may be outdated and removed

Those would very dramatically in time needed based on the speedability of the editor. Someone with knowledge like Jarle Leirpoll or Christine Steele can bang through most of that in a few hours. While many others, like myself, might need a half day or better just for bullet two, that one group of graphics.
The first one is probably best done by getting a transcription of the media, print it out, and go through highlighting what you want to keep. Then go down the sequence using keyboard shorts for jumping to timecodes, and grab the bits you want, drag/drop onto another timeline. You'll still have to do some scrubbing and playback of the top section for each to make sure you get the 'right' bit.
That part could take me half to full day. Maybe more or less depending on ... whatever.
The making of intro & outro could for many people again be a half to full day, or ... for a hot worker with bits to grab and repurpose, a couple hours.
So much depends on so many other factors.
