G'day Everyone,
I have recently started, or I should say have opened up Premiere Pro and have come across this which is stopping me from doing audio recordings. As I am new to Premiere Pro I have no clue what this is or what it means but I need to be able to do voice recordings in Premiere, I don't want to have to use another program to record audio because that will make my life harder. If anyone could help me out with this that would be great. Thanks!
See those green blocks to the left? Those are "Mute" indicators. Try clicking those to un-mute that channel, and see what happens.

I know this is a very old thread, but is there any way to record a voice over while the track is muted? I find it super jarring to try to record a voice over while the track monitors back to me. Also the voice over track comes back delayed and glitchy during recording. I can't imagine there would ever be a time where you would want to hear that while recording. Maybe there's a setting most people find more easily than I have.

There is a setting for this in the Prefereced > Audio.
