Hi there,

i am making a video in adobe premiere cc 2017 and am trying to use some audio i recorded on my laptop using a plugged in microphone on my video. I'm using the built in voice recorder app (microsoft windows 10) and the audio is fine until i try and bring it into premiere pro where in the preview and timeline it suddenly becomes very choppy, garbled and all over the place. words/parts of it keep getting repeated whilst over bits are simply not there, I don't know what is going on.

Open the file in Audition and convert it to a .wav 48khz file. Save a copy in that format.

Then import that converted file into Premiere and test.

Hi DasRegulator,

I am sorry for the trouble.

Please try the workaround mentioned by MtD, above.

What is the exact version of Premiere Pro? FAQ: How to find the exact version of Premiere Pro you're using?

What are your system specs & which OS are you on?

Thanks,

Kulpreet Singh

I generally recommend using hardware recorders for video and audio.  They're pretty reliable.

Something like the Zoom H1 should serve you well.
