Registration of legacy products

Signing in to my Adobe account for the first time in several years, I notice that my old licence information (for CS 5.5 and others) has been wiped from my account. I attempted to re-register the products with the appropriate serial number but simply got an error message saying that the number is already in use. Of course, I already KNOW this. There appears no way to address this problem - no online, phone or any other kind of support is offered.

All this reminds me of why I switched to Avid software a long time ago. For all their foibles, over-pricing, and irritations, at least they maintain a complete record of all my old licence purchaces safely in my account.

On re-reading your post perhaps you know the serial number but Adobe don't.

Yes, that is probably the case, as I found the serial number in an obscure Word document. I was able to reinstall my Adobe software and now realise that the old version I own is pretty much useless for using with my touch screen and pen - lots of lag and gaps when you attempt to draw. Time to invest in some up-to-date graphics software. Not sure I'll go with Adobe. I don't need many of the features offered in Photoshop or Illustrator, so I'll look for something simpler and cheaper.

In my own inventory of products, there are no less than 19 that should be in my account, under Products, but they too are all wiped out. Anyone know how to get them back into the Adobe Account, other than physically mailing them in again, like the old days. This makes no sense why twenty years worth of Adobe products are wiped out, whereas QuarkXPress retains older versions on their customer portal.

Sill use Adobe Illustrator 8.0 for certain applications on my Mac G4 with 9.2 OS, and no issues at all. Also have the newer MacMini that will be installing Creative Cloud, but hesitant to do this until Adobe can figure out their registration issues.
