New Here ,
May 15, 2020 May 15, 2020

Hi there,

I am trying to remove LED flicker from a clip. Have tried built in anti-flicker and off-setting 2 other clips by 1 frame and no success.

Any good plug-ins out there? Pref free if poss..

Thanks,

Bryony

unfortunately led flicker is the same as incandescent flicker and HMI flicker ( if ballast is sine wave instead of square wave you'll get flicker )... and the only way to avoid is to use proper frame rate and shutter speed when it's shot. It can't be fixed in post. That's a pipe dream.

Try to use just the better 'shots' you have... where it is less noticeable. Sorry, but that's life.

good luck

🙂

just for info:

the fine circuitry for LED stuff is basically an AC to DC conversion that makes it the voltage you need for led, plus a GOOD full wave rectifier ( with capacitors ) that allow the new converted current to run at a steady voltage... no flicker at all.  Basically a steady light with NO flicker at ANY FRAME RATE.  That is the high end LED stuff used for movie lights. Everything else is basically kinda junky for film.
