Rendering with AE dynamic links really slow?

Hey,

I have a premiere project with a bunch of AE dynamic links that are working fine but when rendering the timeline or exporting the video, the render time is extremly slow when it needs to render those dynamic linking parts of the video, I have a really good computer setup so it can't be that. I read around that dynamic links can be a pain in the **** sometimes, any suggestions to make this go smoother? I read somewhere that exporting it from AE then into premiere might be better, if so I wonder what settings make sure I still get the best quality possible since I would need to render that again in premiere after.

Thanks!

The main thing that makes rendering After Effects Compositions in a Premiere Pro timeline faster is a faster CPU with more cores.

Are you using one of the Render options under the Sequence menu (Render Effects In to Out, Render In to Out, Render Selection) or are you right-clicking on the Composition and choosing Render and Replace?  They take about the same amount of time, but Render and Replace makes it less likely to need to render again if you move the Clip Boundary in the Timeline.

If you render the Compositions on the After Effects side, you'll still have render time.  Use the Best Settings Render Settings template and the High Quality Output Module template.  For social media projects, I modify High Quality to use Apple ProRes 422 LT instead of Apple ProRes 422 and save that as a custom "High Quality LT" template.  If you need transparancy, use High Quality with Alpha for the Output Module.
