Is there a way to replace a source clip with an After Effects Comp?
I am aware you can replace with another piece of footage quite easily. The after effects comp I want to replace the footage with is the same length as the original, just in 4K instead of 1080p. The clip appears a lot in the sequence so to be able to replace all instances with the higher resolution after effects comp with the same cuts would save me a lot of time.
Thanks!

Import your AE Comp into your project. Click the comp to make sure it's highlighted. Then, find the clip in the timeline you want to replace, right click on it, and go to Replace -> From Bin, and it should drop your comp into the timeline in place of the clip. Now, to be able to do it across all instances of the clip, I'll have to do some more poking around, but you can try selecting all instances of the clip in your timeline and try right click, replace.
Hopefully this helps!

By the way, there is easier way to do this in the future. Before you even start the new AE comp, find the clip you'll be replacing in your timeline, right click, then Replace -> After Effects Comp. It'll open AE and start a new comp with that clip already dropped in, and any changes you make to that AE comp will be instantly reflected in your Premiere project.
