Replacing remixed watermarked music

Hi. 
I have watermarked music, matched to my edit. 
How can I replace the watermarked music without loosing the remixed settings? 
When I replaced the watermarked music with the licensed music, the settings don't copy over.

If you use the replace footage comand in the project panel it should keep all the edits of the origional.

I tried this but unfortunately didn't work. 

• I spoke with an Adobe agent and they say it's not possible when you use the remix tool.

I made a music track and called it CD1 and also made a second track the same as the first but with the gain pushed up and called it CD2

I put CD1 on on the timeline and used remix to make it 30 sec.

I then replaced CD 1 with CD2 in the project panel and the new music went onto the sequence with the edits,

It seemed to work for me.
