Hey,
when I activate the publish feature in the export menue and I save the preset to adress the next timline and export it with the same settings then:
They publish settings are no longer active.
I have to reselect it and active erverything from scratch.....
Is this the normal behaviour?
thanxs
Peter
Hey mgrenadier,
I appreciate that thanxs.
I hope I was not rude.
If so, I apologize.
I am trying to figure something out.
And to me it seems not logical that I can´t do this?
So I was hoping, that with millions of users there might be an answer out here,
but I guess that I was wrong with my thought.
There is no answer to the question.
thanxs

Hey Neil,
I do know my account settings, but why do I have to remeber them if there is a preset
setting that seems to do the job?
Is this a kond of remeber game like "memory"?
Thanxs for explaining that the saving of settings does not include all the settings!
I wonder who came up with this one?
Adobe: Ok what about if we make a setting for the publishing website
Betatester: Yes great! But pls lose all the information after I tried to save them.
I woluld love to have this feature. Can you include it
...I think I just made it happen. When I went to save the preset I got this dialog box
Now I just chose adobe creative cloud cause I didn't want to bother setting up vimeo or whatever. I quit premiere and started another project and when I went to export and chose that preset, the publish settings were loaded. I'm working in cc2019 at the moment.

we're gonna need some more info. What version are you working in? Are you on a pc or mac? Not sure that you want to "publish." Are you sure you don't want to just "save" the preset?

And yes: I want so save the "export preset"
How do I save the setting, so that the "plublish" settings are saved too?

sorry, I didn't understand your initial post. I have no idea but it doesn't seem likely. Can you describe what exactly you're trying to do and where you want to "publish." What I do for vimeo is to export to a folder that's automatically mirrored to my dropbox account. When I launch vimeo and go to upload a video, there's an option to upload from dropbox which is an almost instantaneous process. Happy to describe how to set up dropbox for this if you want.

Dear mgrenadier,
why should we have a function that is there to save a setting (workflow) , when it does not same the workflow?
so I imagine someone tested this!
mid this is not working then:
1. it's a bug
2. was not tested
If 1. Then someone should look into it.
If 2. You have the opertunity to change it now and test it.
I am aware that I can do this with Dropbox !
but when I saw the export " publish" setting , to me this seems to be a hint , that I don't need the Dropbox as man in the middle no longer.
which is nice.
so why can't I save the setting ?
why is it possible to save "Timecode" as a setting and recall it!
but Vimeo or any other publish service not?
why ?
yes I know there maybe different workarounds , but it was not the point of this post!
3. pls fix the bug or pls tell me how can I archive this saving of my settings.
anybody ?
am I the only one that works with settings ?
no one out there in this settingless world 😭
without an answer I am not going to open the app again!
with protest from Hamburg

Pavl,
This is primarily a user-to-user forum here, with some assistance from the product support staff, who all have Adobe badges to their user-names.
So ... the rest of us are like you, a user ... volunteering time to help fellow users.
I think there's some confusion as to what you're asking about. General export settings are handled in the upper part of the Export dialog box. Those apply to say the format/codec and chosen options for the export. You should be able to save a preset for those and recall it from the preset line after choosing the appropriate format. These ... after an export ... are often 'sticky.
The Publish options down below are a separate matter, and I've not used them much. I think those you do have to select again, but within any one use of Premiere, it should 'know' your channel or whatnot.

Adobe: No problem, we thought of this and in the next version we are going to implement
the "memento of settings for publishing videos to websites"
So I have a question:
How many user of premiere are producing videos for the web?
How many user are delivering videos over the web to their clients?
Why can´t I save those settings?
or
How can I save this settings!
I made a software request:
so if you like this invention or idea
let´s play it save
thanxs

A lot of people publish to the web. I tend to export first then upload. But I was quite happy to go to your post and upvote it for you!

Yes , thats it ....
thanx ...
I was sure that I tested that option too, but to many calls and I forgot ....
But I found something else ....
You can download a vimeo extension.
This enables vimeo with a plug in from inside of premiere.
You lose the ability to add a timecode (could overlay)
But the rest is quite nice.
You just hit the cloud button and then media encoder starts and
the rest is history.
So thank you very much!
and have a nice weekend.
Peter
