Second Audio Track Vanished After Update

Community Beginner ,
Jan 14, 2019 Jan 14, 2019

Hey everyone. I'm here at work and I updated Premiere over lunch. When I reopened the project, one whole audio track in my clip (well, clips plural, but it's the same problem across the project) has been turned in to a duplicate of the other track. The file itself has two unique tracks. I tried restarting. I tried deleting the audio previews. I tried relinking media. I even tried deleting it and reimporting it.

No dice.

Any tips?

I actually fixed it by locating the cache and peak files (in the Library, which mac has made a hidden folder...) and then reopened the program.

Hi Legomojo,

Sorry to hear about your issue. Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you have updated Premiere Pro and after that, the first audio track is copied on the second one.

  • Has it happened with a single project?
  • Where have you saved the media cache and media files?
  • Have you checked the project autosaves?

Thanks,

Shivangi
