Setting audio levels to specs

Community Beginner ,
Nov 03, 2023 Nov 03, 2023

Hi,

I have edited the video and now need to export it to client's specs. Audio usn't my strength, and these are very specific (see below). I am trying to figure out how to adjust levels to the specs below. For example, for the voiceover clips, I would select them and open the essential sound panel and change clip volume on the bottom of the page to -12 db. I would do the same thing for all different types of clips following client's specs. However, beside messing up the relationship of different types of clips, the audio overall git increadibly quiet. You have to crank it up to 100% to hear anything.

I figure I'm doing something wrong. Any ideas what it is that I am doing wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks a lot!

Audio Level Restrictions:

Overall mix level -10db to -14db

Dialogue -12db to -15db

Music -18db to -22db

Sound effects -10db to -20db w/ occasional spikes up to -8db
