Some clips don't show audio waveform even when manually attempted to build but play normally.

My preferences are set to automatically build wafeforms.  I've also tried:  Clip - Generate Waveform.  I've waited an hour or more...closed and restarted.  But nothing works so far.  Strangely most clips show the waveform normally.  It seems like a random problem in my project. See attached screen grab. Any solution?

Thanks.  Not sure how long it takes to rebuild.  I'm finding Premiere so buggy these days that I'm clearing the cache several times a day whether it needs it or not.  I find it strange that this kind of thing needs to be done so often.
