Any speed change that brings a clip over 100% speed results in choppy playback.

Hello xx,

Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug. I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? If so, the team will need more info from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?

I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.

Thanks,

Kevin

Speed ramp makes my playback glitch and freeze. Even rendering in and out does the same thing. I even exported the video and still when I play back the exported video it freezes as if it exported the freeze... this is some serious issue that needs to get fixed ASAP.

This SIMPLE SOLUTION did it for me: When exporting, hit the button "Queue" instead of "Export" to load it into Media Encoder. Render it out there. This solved the issue from me. (Sped up footage no longer choppy on export--smooth as ice)

Like Nikolaos Tsaldaris said DISABLE HARDWARE ACCELERATED DECODING from Project Settings. It works quite well!

Same issue in 2021
I have had this issue for almost 2 years now waiting for a fix. I had this issue on my MacBook Pro, Windows PC. Same with Canon Footage or iPhone Footage. I tried everything from switching to other Codecs, Proxys, Windows reinstall, upgrading RAM, different GPU Drivers. Since Speedramping is becoming more and more important to me, im switching to DaVinchi, because there is nothing more left to do and Adobe doesn't seem to care.

Hi, a video I found online to help with this speed/duration issue within Premier Pro CC 2020.
