Looking to figure out how to make a video file for a 3 wide video wall, each of the 3 displays is 1920x1080. I have 3 video files I want to 'stitch' together widthways to make a 5760x1080 video to play on the video wall. I have an older version of premiere, and if necessary I can look at getting a newer version.

I don't know what version you have or what limitations it has...but in 15.4.1 (latest) you can create a 5760x1080 sequence. You can then stack your 3 clips on 3 video layers and move them left and right to fill out the width of your sequence.

Ok, are you able to create a sequence at that resolution?

Yes. Looks like I can use the Motion video effect and specify a position using an anchor point. That looks like its doing what I want it to do. I just created a preset and have to apply it to each clip as I go. Thanks, you got me started on the right path so I could find what I needed!

My next question is how do I export this? Which format would be best, I was thinking MP4 but I cant see how I can keep the resolution

You might have restrictions on resolutions with MP4, particularly in an older version. You would need H.264 Level 6 or higher in order to export that resolution. It depends on what formats your video wall is able to play. It might be that your video wall actually plays 3 separate HD (1920x1080) videos at the same time - in which case you will want to export 3 separate files.
You could set up 3 HD nested sequences and put these nests into your 5760x1080 sequence. Then when you are done, you simply export the 3 nests.

Thanks. I believe it plays just the single file. I don't believe I have those options for encoders on my version. I'll have to look at maybe getting the latest for just a bit to do the export. Can I open a file from CS6 on the newer versions?

You'll want to confirm if it's three files (or tiles, as far as how they're each separate section of continuous picture) or one file. That, of course, depends on the system playing hte file.
If I remember correctly, you're going to have to upgrade to CC2014 in order to export to H.264 Level 6 for 5760x1080 MP4 or at least I can confirm that CC2014 can do it. If staying with CS6, you'll have to use a CODEC that supports that frame size like Animation (the file will be best quality, but huge) or Apple ProRes (back with CS6 that was only available for export under macOS).
