Sync files workflow

I have replaced in camera audio with audio from an external recorder using syncronize. 1 audio file, 5 or so video clips. Done in the timeline. Worked great. When I've done this in the past, I usually export the whole thing, then re-import and edit (I don't want to edit this in the timeline). Is there a better way to do this, without files unsyncing etc.? I need it out of the timeline and back in the bin so I use my normal 3 point editing system. Thanks!!!

Have you tried the multicam process? That sorts out things like one long audio file and multiple start/stop video files nicely. And is quick & easy to do. With fewer problems than Sync/Merge clips can have.

Just select all the media in the bin, right-click, create multicam.

ok, just did that, the audio looks synced, then at about 15 minutes in or so, the video is black. Do I have the correct settings? This is a 1 camera operation, if that helps. Its all one long shot broken up because that's how files on GH4's work.

The settings look fine. How many that had been selected weren't actually included?

Looks like only the very first video file appears. The rest are black...
