Hi, I'm working in Premiere 23.5, trying to use the text based editing feature to edit an interview.  I have transcribed the interview and when I try to make an edit in the transcription, a single word, a pause, or a phrase, and I right click and use either the "delete (ripple)" or just "delete", the entire timeline gets deleted.  Plea

@ejay_southbay,

That is odd. A screenshot might help. Include at least the timeline, program monitor, and text panel.

Thanks; the screen recording is very helpful.

Throughout the video, you have in/out markers set in the timeline, so that the action applies to the whole timeline.

Also, in the Transcript tab, you have the {} "Automatically set in/out points" OFF. So when you select in the Transcript tab, it does not change the timeline in/out markers.

Turn that on and try again. The first time you select something, it should clear the previous timeline in/out markers.
