Text Based Editing with Proxy Files

I am working on editing a project in which I have created proxy source files. My orginal files are disconnected and on an external drive and my proxy files are working from my desktop. When I try to use the Text-Based Editing feature and I click Transcribe, it asks me about the language and speaker labeling but then does not actually transcibe the clip. I have tried transcribing from the source file and a file on the sequence but neither produce results. Could this issue be because I am using proxy files instead of the orginal files?

Yes, I think so. Try reconnecting to the master files then attempting to transcribe.
