I have been using this set up for years without issue and recently I go to put together a video and both the preview and the main window the video won't play, the audio plays and I can scrub through the footage very easily but when hitting play only the audio plays. My system is strong enough I have been editing 4K video for a long while, I have tried all the suggested fixes I have found online, deleting cache, re-installing, updating drivers, even rolled back a few versions, reset the workspace, etc, etc. It is quite frustrating.
I am running a PC with
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
32 G of Ram
Nvidia GTX 1660 video card
Like I said I have been editing wih this for a while mostly in 4K. If anyone has any new ideas I would be glad to hear them.

Where are your media stored, internal disk or external disk? And, how much free space is left on the disk/s?
Make sure to have the latest Studio Driver from Nvidia installed.

Terabytes of free space?
If you move a project from the external disk to an internal disk, does the same issue appear?

Yes terabytes of free space and no I haven't moved it to an internal drive, like I said I have been editing video on externals for the longest time including the one my project is on
