Track Keyframes

I'm sure there is a good reason but why can't you edit audio clips when the track keyframes are showing?

I have just done the audio mix for 6hrs of dance shows and was constantly switching between Track and Clips Keyframes to mix and trim the applause between dances.

It just seems to be how the interface has been set up since the beginning.

A change in this might be a good feature request.
