Transitions need handle, that means you need to trim the back of the first clip and the front of the second clip.

See this Adobe help:

https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/transition-overview-applying-transitions.html

In it you can read the following:

If none of the clips contain cropped frames, the transition automatically focuses on the cut and repeats the frames of the first clip, or the second clip, or both clips, to complete the duration of the transition. Diagonal bars appear in transitions that use repeated frames.

Basically, it is because the end and the beginning of the clips involved do not have clipping, Premiere, to complete the transition you must repeat the last and the first frame.

Ok, but I can not make a transition at the end and start of the video clip.

But if I make the transition longer in time, is the problem solved?

I do not understand what you mean

I have also the problem, Sometimes i can't place a transition in the middle of the video.

See the picture.

I do not understand what you are saying, in response to the image that went up:

  • "See this Adobe help:
  • In it you can read the following:
  • If none of the clips contain cropped frames, the transition automatically focuses on the cut and repeats the frames of the first clip, or the second clip, or both clips, to complete the duration of the transition. Diagonal bars appear in transitions that use repeated frames.
  • Basically, it is because the end and the beginning of the clips involved do not have clipping, Premiere, to complete the transition you must repeat the last and the first frame."

If your problem is to center the transition, you can do it in the Effects Controls panel, after selecting the transition.

Hi,

The issue of a transition not overlapping 2 clips is generally because the first clip does not have frames beyond the end point to be sufficient for the effect.

For example, say you have 2 clips each 10 seconds long and they play in full one after the other. Say wanted a cross dissolve between the 2 clips that lasts 2 seconds. That would mean that the last 2 seconds of clip 1 would be fading out while the first 2 seconds of clip 2 would be fading in. If you try get the Cross Dissolve effect to be placed between the 2 clips, you get the message -
Insufficient media. This transition will contain repeated frames.
This means that the transition is short of 1 second. The last 1 second of clip 1 can begin the fade out but another second is needed to complete the fade. This is why repeated frames are added, to extend the clip to 11 seconds to correspond with the transition length.

Say you cut clip 1 to 9 seconds and then added the 2 second Cross Dissolve transition between it and clip 2. Now you have an additional second beyond the 9 second end point of clip 1 to use for the 2 second transition and you won't get the insufficient media message.

I've read it but it's hard for me to understand.

You must have a video so trim to transition to use if I understand correctly?

So I have with me recordings always bear in mind that the first 10 seconds, for example, be cut off Why?

I always used to do Power director 15. Never had any problems with transitions.

PD is consumer product which does the trimming automatically for you or makes duplicate frames.

In Pr you have full control over how you want the transitions.

No its not: click on a transition in the timeline and open the Effect Controls. Then you can see how a transition works.
