Tutorials Not Loading in Premiere 2024 on macOS Ventura? This worked for me.

New Here ,
Sep 10, 2024 Sep 10, 2024

Just wanted to post this for all who are scrolling endlessly trying to find an answer for Premiere 2024 tutorials not working. I just loaded Premiere 2024 on my 2017 iMac (Ventura macOS) and wanted to try one of the tutorials on the opening screen and got the "scratch disc permissions" alert. All the related posts here have been about older versions of Premiere, have not seen 2024 mentioned with this issue.

This is from @Eugene Lew   & @John Geck , with some additional descriptions from me. Read their original posts here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/in-app-tutorials-not-loading-for-premiere-pr...

  1. In the Finder on your Mac, open a new window. In the gray section on the left side of the window, click on your main drive, IOW your boot drive.
  2. Click through folders on your hard drive to: Macintosh (or your boot drive name)/users/Shared/Adobe/Premiere Pro 2024/Learn Panel/payloads.
  3. Open the payloads folder, and select the en_US folder so it is highlighted (don't open the en_US folder) and type Cmd+I or select Get Info from the finder file menu .
  4. An Info window will open up for the "en_US" folder. At the bottom of this info window are  the Sharing/Permission settings.
Click on the bronze lock icon on the bottom right corner of the Info window, just below the Sharing/Permissons.
  5. Type in your Mac log in password to unlock, this is the password you type in when your Mac starts up.
  6. In the Sharing & Permisssions section at the bottom of the Info Window set all the listed names to Read/Write.  (In the Privilege part of the list, click on "Read Only" and select "Read/Write" for each Name)
  7. THEN below Name and Privilege window is a white rectangle with  + and - signs  and a circle with dots in it and downward arrow. Click on the arrow. A small menu will  drop down. Select "Apply to all enclosed items"
  8. Close the Info window, reboot your mac and re-open Premiere.

below are 2 screen grabs. Big Thanks to John Geck and Eugene Lew
