Ultra-Key: background gray instead of transparent

I want to key out the green background of my footage so that the background is transparent. However, instead, ultra-key makes the background gray. It removes the green, but it doesn't make the area transparent. When I switch to the alpha channel, it looks as if it does a good job. Just the final result doesn't look good.

Does anybody have any advice on how this can be solved?

Thanks for your help! It turned out that I had another layer below it and I thought it was deactivated, but it wasn't. I just realized it now that you asked for a screenshot^^
