Updated assets not rendering, why?

Hi There,

I've encountered a strange issue where updated text in PSD files render an older version. The timeline is correct but the renders are incorrect - I've just re-rendred everything again (a day later) to confirm.

The weird thing is that the updated assets were overwritten so it's not like the old text exists in a file anywhere - so confusing (and frustrating) sorry.

Why doesn't Premiere use the actual assets in the job? Is there a way to force Premiere to use them?

Cheers

Ben

Thanks for that, I restarted my Mac and am now able to render the files correctly (I would've thought restarting Premiere would work but it didn't).

I've found posts on deleting previews but the timeline preview reflected the updates so preview files were correct. Still no idea how/why the final renders used day-old assets which no longer existed. Very weird.

I wonder if it's something to do with Media Encoder as that was left open overnight?

I've experienced a problem a long time ago, where even if I right clicked on PSD files in timeline and adjusted in PSD program, it wouldn't update the new saved PSD file.  A way for me to fix that was to delete the file on timeline and in project manager and then re-import the same PSD file ( which you adjusted and saved as same name), and it would update correctly.

Don't know if this will help you but if you try on one file it should be enough to confirm or not.

Someone else will have different solutions ( re: cache etc. )

well, thank goodness you got it working good. I have no clue why stuff doesn't work sometimes. Just something to put in hat and remember for later on if similar problem occurs.
