I just upgraded to PP 2020 and AE 2020 however I am not able to Link Media back to that AE project. My premiere pro project sits with media offline clips. Has anyone found a fix for this? I feel this is such a huge oversight for the newest release.

2019 was breaking so i figured id upgrade. big mistake.

Render out from AE and then place above the problematic clip in the timeline.  I know this is not ideal, but it should get you up and running.  This is actually the way I work with AE comps.  I've had issues when a sequence/project gets very complex so this nails things down.
