V24 Log workflow question.

slog3 sgamut3.cine footage when auto tone mapped by premiere looks pretty good to me. What looks even more impressive is when I adjust that little exposure slider specifically in the lumetri settings panel (The one that also has highlight saturation as an option) I'm seeing a lot more dynamic range here , than when I settle on a value here and head into the corrections panels.

What's your best workflow/approach for a maximum dynamic range image ? Obviously the less steps the better.

For the odd shot that I think it would be worth it , I'm duplicating clips and using the settings panel , adjust one for highlights and one for everything else and do a bit of masking.

My real question is why am I seeing more dynamic range in the settings panel than anywhere else 🤔it's almost as though once settled on an exposure value here , it now becomes a baked in range of values that arent nearly as wide once I go into basic correction/ curves etc
