About half an hour after restarting my computer, videos begin to flicker and play at double speed. The audio becomes choppy, as if the computer is skipping frames. For example, a 6-second clip plays in about 3 seconds.
This happens with all types of files, codex, frame rates or resolutions, in the source window as well as the program monitor.
All my drivers are up to date.
I'm using Premiere Pro 25, but the same issue occurred in versions from the past six months. Closing and reopening the software doesn't help. Only restarting the computer temporarily fixes it, but even then, the problem returns after about 30-60 minutes.
OS is windows 11 pro
I have 64GB RAM
I have 12th Gen intel(R) Core(TM)i7-12700K, 3600Mhz,12 cores, 20 logical processors
I have an Nvidia G Force GTX 1070 as well as an Intel UHD Graphics 770( a small GPU inside the processor).
I have a dell U2415 screen with 59.95Hz refresh rate.
motherboard is: Gygabyte B660M DS3H DDR4
the hard disks are:
WDC WD40EZRZ-00GXCB0 and ADATA SX8200PNP
I have enough disk space.
i don't have plugins
What could be causing this issue? how can i solve it?"
HI @ski resorts video - If you right click on one of your media files, can you post a screenshot of your media file properties. Do you have the studio driver installed? Have you tried under Audio Hardware to set your default input to "No Input"

Thank you, Jamie. I worked with many kinds of files. I didn't try the "no input" advice, but after two weeks of break, for some reason, everything was smooth, and the problem seemed to be solved. If it returns, I will try your advice and report.
