Hey guys and gals,
I'm going to try to explain this the best I can. I've tried searching multiple places and I'm sure it's somewhere however I don't know how to correctly word it as I don't understand it. Anyways, Im trying to put a video file over top of an image file in Adobe Premiere Pro cc 11.0. For example, I'd like to put an object in somebody's hand, lets say a shovel for example. But I want the hand over top of the shovel to make it look "real" and then have the hand and shovel move together as the video clip moves. How do I do this? I'm familiar with adding an image to a video file and making it move and track it, etc. For example putting an image face over top of the face in the video so it looks like someone else. I've tried working with layers myself but I just cant figure it out, I can't get the person's limb in the video over top of the image I added to the video. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

You would be better doing this in a compositing program such as After Effects.
It requires...tracking, masks, rotoscoping and compositing as well as motion animation.
