I am running Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 in VMWare Horizon with NVIDIA GRID RTX8000 (Quadro) GPUs. The "Video Rendering and Playback" option is set to "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only." I updated the GRID GPU and host OS video drivers, as mentioned in another thread, to no avail. Furthermore, I checked the list of unsupported graphics adaptors and from what I can tell, the RTX8000 is not one of them.
Has anyone else experience this and have an idea? Thanks.
The issue was with the NVIDIA licensing server. Everything is now working as expected.

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to Premiere Pro forum so that proper help can be offered.

VMWare Horizon may be the issue.
It may not be supported.
Adobe’s Creative Cloud for enterprise, Individual, or Single App Terms of Use permit the deployment of its Apps in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure on cloud environments in an AS-IS model with no support of guarantee software performance or stability.

Thanks for reporting back, STG. I wonder, though, if you have time, what is the experience like with a such a remote system? I don't have access to anything like that yet.
Thanks,
Kevin

When it works, it's a game changer. We issue $200 laptops to students and with Horizon VDI, they act like $1200 laptops. It also allows for ease of application management and distribution. Maintaing one "golden image" rather than software on 1000s of devices. Putting it together was time consuming and it is rather costly, but far cheaper than maintaining labs of expensive machines.
