Viewing and editing clip in timeline

Hi all, I've got a lecture I'm editing with one camera shot in 4k. I want to create A/B cameras with one pushed in to a close up. I know this can be done because someone showed me once, but for the life of me I can't remember how. Basically, I have two copies of the video in the project but one of them needs to be zoomed in. I remember somehow he was able to open the clip in the timeline window, but not in the actual timeline. Then he adjusted the crop and then I did a multicam sync of the two clips with the audio. Worked great! I hope that makes sense. Can someone remind me how to do this?

You can duplicate the media and have one track zoomed in (like V1 is the original wide, and V2 is the scaled up) and you can manually make cuts to show the zoomed in one.

Or you can put both of the tracks into a nest and enable multicam editing. You'll need to enable it on the nested sequence (1) and also change to multicam view in your Program Monitor (2).
