Waveform suddenly not appearing in VO clips

Working on a 60 minute timeline 1920 x 1080 with  source video mixed between 4K XAVC s, GoPro 1920 x 1080 and 1920 x 1080 XDCAM files, recording VO in Audition.  For whatever mysterious reason my VO now has no waveforms showing.  Not in source window nor when I put them on the timeline.  Everything had been working normally, then all of a sudden newly recorded VO is not showing waveforms.  I trashed the preferences and got them back for a couple clips, but then recorded more VO and again not showing up.  Also tried changing desktop layout back to default editing rather than dual monitor editing. No change.

Any ideas on what's causing this?  I have about 40 minutes of the show complete.

Thx...jw

Not particularly since I have waveforms selected as on and show waveform from the menu.  When I restarted this morning the waveform was showing for the particular clip I had a problem with yesterday.  This is an intermittent problem and the last clip in which this happened which was two or there VO clips previous, I shut down, trashed preferences, restarted and problem was solved.  Then layed a couple more VO clips with no problem, then again it happened.  Restarting today it looks fine and I te

First, make sure your audio waveforms are turned on. You can find this option under the wrench icon in your timeline. Make sure you've selected Show Audio Waveform from the menu. If you're waveform still fails to materialize, select your entire timeline (Command-A) and from the Sequence menu choose Render Audio
