I've downloaded the fnordware WebP.plugin, and added it to: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plugins/7.0/MediaCore. The only other file in the folder is dummy.txt.
I've restarted my computer and Premiere Pro (both with and without holding down the Shift key, and removing and re-adding the WebM.plugin) and when I go to File/Export/Media, WebM is not listed in the Format dropdown.

I ended up exporting to a mv4 and used an online converter to produce the WebM file. Here's a link to the one I used. Free online WebM / VP8 converter
Hope that helps!

Hi Elisabeth,
Regarding the Free online WebM / VP8 converter
Maybe this is a stupid question, but I am asking anyway... Did the online converter work fine – is it a reliable tool, safe and virus free?
Do you have other tools/plugins to recommend?
Best regards,
Maria

It was fine for me - I didnt experience any problems with it. And no I haven't tried convertio.co.
Good luck!
