When appending a clip to sequence when marked in source monitor the sequence position changes

New Here ,
Feb 03, 2018 Feb 03, 2018
  • I select a clip in the file/bin explorer
  • Mark in and out points in the source monitor
  • Append to timeline using ","
  • The play head is in an arbitrary location on the sequence and the focus has been also moved to the sequence
  • when I click back in the source monitor, the clip there is the content from the sequence, and not from the explorer/bin
  • Also when going back to the explorer/bin there is no clip selected.
  • so if you have tons of clips there, it is frustrating to navigate back to the one you need.

This may be fixed on the latest updates, but I cannot update because of: Unable to update Adobe CC Mac Apps

If you double click on a clip in the sequence it will open in the source monitor.

If you want the source clip from the bin, hover over the clip in the timeline and hit F.
