Hi everyone!
Hoping for some help here - I am converting a video shot for 16:9 aspect ratio to 9:16 (vertical), I have everything set up on the timeline, size adjusted and centered etc., but there appears to be a light shadow over the top and bottom of the frame where letterboxing usually appears. The still below shows my footage fit to the frame, and yet there is still a shadow in the preview panel as well as when I export. I have a feeling it's a simple fix, I'm just in a time crunch and getting frustrated. Any advice?
Thanks xx
Hello all...
Embarrassingly, I have figured out the issue. When I re-sized the footage I did not re-size the adjustment layer and thus the color correction was only partially there. Thanks for taking the time to look at my post, Kevin! And for anyone who makes this mistake in the future..... you are not alone lol.

Hi Molly,
We need a bit more info. Show us a screenshot of the Sequence Settings. Please also show us your clip properties. A screenshot of the program monitor at 25% size would also help so we can see the borders around the active area.
Thank You,
Kevin

Thanks for letting us know what worked for you, Molly. I should have asked for a view of your Timeline too. I had a feeling it was related to some kind of other source, perhaps a render file.
Adjustment layers are wonderful things but also tricky. I grew up in a world where adjustment layers were not available in NLE and you were forced into AE for such things. I feel spoiled these days. Come to think of it, I tend to avoid using them so I can be clear of some of the gotchas and performance issues you can face when using them.
You have to keep your eye on them, for sure. Glad you caught it. Nice overhead shot by the way. How did you rig that up?
Thanks,
Kevin
