When I open a project in Premiere Pro 2022 a lock symbol appears and I can't edit.
I'm working on a brand new project that I started in Premiere Pro 2022. However, I regularly open a second project to add cut clips into so I can make a blooper reel later (or even to pop in an ad etc). When I open the blooper reel that was created in the older Premiere, it upgrades it and a lock symbol appears preventing me from doing anything with the file. Has anyone come across this before?

Go to the folder the project is in, there will be a 'lock' file there, don't remember the exact name but it's essentially the name of the project with "lock" in it I think. The lock files are very small files. Delete that file.

Hi Neil,
Thanks for the response. I went looking for one when the lock first appeared but I can't seem to find a .prlock file for it anywhere. Even tried just searching my mac for those files...

Huh ... where in the world is it getting the lock thing then? Normally that's in the same folder as the project file itself ...
