I've be using the cube spin transition effect since years as a part of my coporate identity.
Unfortunately with the latest updates of Premiere this effect is no longer part of Premiere.
Is there a way to export the effect from an older version of Premiere, where the effect is still working?
Adobe (https://helpx.adobe.com/ch_de/premiere-pro/kb/obsolete-effects-transitions-presets-removed.html) recommnds to use a third pary extension without specifying which one. Do you know a similair transition effect?

As is described in that article, you can copy and paste the effect if you have already applied it to clips in an existing project.
You should also be able to save it as a preset and then it will appear in your Presets in the Effects Control panel.
So open one of your existing projects with the effect, select the transition and right-click in the Effects Controls panel area and choose "Save Preset...".

I tried several things... The problem is that the transition effect is not applied to a single video because it lays between two video sequences. So the transition effect does not appear in the effect control.
And according to my short google research you can't save a tranisition as a preset. And also copy paste seems not to be possible with transitions only with effects.

Are you clicking on the transition itself? I dont have the cube spin effect but it works here with the Centre Split - it appears in the Effect Controls panel.
I was able to save the preset and then drag it as a transition between 2 other clips.

In this menue I've been.
The Save preset is greyed out.
I tried it quickly with several effects: Some transition you can save as preset (e.g. Center Split) some you can't (e.g. Cube Spin)

Interesting, yes I can see that I can save presets for some e.g. 'Center Split' or 'Whip'...
...but I cannot for 'Slide' or 'Push'.
Can anyone else weigh in on why this might be?

That was one of my favorite effects. I was disappointed to find out it was gone. It looks like you will have to go third party and pay for it. If there is a free add on I hope someone will post it.

Anyone found a solution to this?
I'm also looking for the Cube spin transition (free) or something that mimics Instagram Stories spinning.
Thank you!
