Which presets sequences in premiere for a canon 5d mk3

Hello,

I need a help to find which presets sequences I've to use to import in a Premiere cs6 my recorded files of a Canon 5D mk3.

Actually I use a HDV, is that right?

When you launch Premiere, you are presented with

a menu of Sequence preset types to choose from.

You can skip this step by hitting Cancel, import (or capture) your media,

then do this:

Or, right-click a media file and select 'New Sequence From Clip".

Not HDV, there ought to be a "DSLR" folder. If you don't see a long list of options, you could have a faulty install that did not put everything in.

Once you choose DSLR, there are sub-options to match the frame size and frame rate as well. The truth is, you do NOT have to use a "DSLR" preset necessarily, you could also use AVHCD or something else as long as the specs match.

Also, on bottom right of Project Bin, there is a button for New Item - drag and drop a clip onto that icon to create a Sequence with the correct parameters to match your source footage.

Ok but on a DSLR profile I don't have 25fps option to choose.
In AVCHD there are some fps format. Can I use AVCHD to import clip from 5D mk3 and also from GoPro 3 Black Edition? Cause I have two differents source.

You do not use a Sequence preset from this menu to import media.

Your initial choice of a Sequence preset from this menu

will have no bearing or affect on the import of your media files.

You can select anything (or nothing by hitting 'Cancel'), then import

(or capture) your media, and create a properly configured Sequence

that matches your media type by doing what is indicated in post #1.

If your two different source types are not the same frame size

and frame rate, you should create a Sequence using the media type

that will constitute the majority of the material in the Timeline.
