Hi, I have a video which is roughly 1 hour long and when I go to export in premiere pro 24.0 the estimated file size is around 10GB, but in an older version of premiere pro 22.0 the estimated size is around 1GB, why is this? I have matched the export setting in both versions.

What´s the file size of the exported video? By knowing that we can see which one of the estimates that is more correct than the other.

The estimated file sizes has always been an estimate and never a absolute, always correct, size of the exported file. But yes, it is known for being wrong many of the times. It´s an estimate after all.

What export settings do you use?

The 22.0 version was around 1GB and took roughly 1 hour. The 24.0 version I cancelled because after waiting 10 mins it was still on over 3 hours.

I created a new video on 24.0 using just a single image for around 10 mins and it come in at 633mb, i've attached my export settings.

Is that not abit high for a single image 10 min video?
