WHY does PP CC windows run off BELOW the bottom of my Screen??

Community Beginner ,

Hey all, just upgraded to PP CC from CS3 last month... (from fresh full install downloaded from Adobe) but I've had this on-going issue ever since I installed it. I have looked everywhere, on and off of adobe sites, on why this is happening. If this has been answered before, sorry for this post, but a point to the answer would be GREATLY appreciated.

System Specs:
Windows 7 - fully up-to-date
Premier Pro CC - fully up-to-date
HP Envy 15T-3000 with an i7 processor and 8gb of ram
Screen resolution 1366 x 768 (wouldn't think this would matter though...)

Problem:
Whenever I open different windows in Premier Pro CC, such as when I go to make a "New Sequence", and the "New Sequence" window opens.... The bottom of the window runs below my screen....???!!! WHY???
This seems like such a stupid little thing... but it is REALLY annoying to say the least.

I'm attaching this screen shot to show what I'm talking about. I obviously added the text and arrow:

screen shot 1.png

WIth it doing this, In this specific example, as you can see from my screenshot, I can not see the "Sequence Name" box where you can rename the Sequence. Nor can I see or click on the "OK" or "Cancel" buttons. Up to this point in time, since I can't click the "OK" button, the only way I can make a new sequence is to just hit "enter" on the keyboard. This is REALLY Annoying to say the least. And it hasn't just been happening on the "New Sequence" windows either.

What I've done so far:
**I tried using the "Auto-hide" on my windows start bar, which does at least allow me to see the "renaming" box, but thats all.
**I have tried different screen resolutions (which I shouldn't have to do) but that made no change.
**I have tried running Premier Pro CC in a "Window" instead of full screen, but that didn't change anything either.
**I tried to take the mouse, click and hold on the top of the "New Sequence" window to try to drag it up, but when I release the mouse button, the window just returns to its original position.
**PP CC doesn't allow you to resize these "pop-up" windows, So I can't just "resize" it back into view...

I know this is not many attempted "solutions"... but I don't know what else to even try...

Any help would be Much Appreciated

It does matter because of Adobe's minimum system requirements. The display resolution must be at least 1280 pixels wide AND at least 800 pixels high in order for the Premiere Pro interface to function correctly. Unfortunately, 1366 x 768 does not meet Adobe's minimum vertical resolution requirement as 768 pixels is below the 800-pixel minimum.

Your screen resolution must be at least 1980x1080. What is your screen resolution?

As I stated: Screen resolution 1366 x 768

That is as high as this computer will go.....

Why does that matter for the program??
I've never seen a program that didn't auto-resize to whatever resolution you had your screen set to.

I set the resolution lower already before, and the program displayed EXACTLY how it looks in this screenshot. It didn't cut off More of the program OR the window.

32 pixels short.

That is why it wont fit.

Premiere auto-resized but not below is 1280x800 which is the minimum.

Well thats just really stupid....
even when I change it to 1280 it is still only 768... (1280x768)

This laptop was originally sold as a Premier Pro editing setup, it even came with premier and a couple other programs in the suit pre-installed. I know its a few years old, but this is just dumb...

Why would adobe change to a minimum of 800 when thats not even a standard size...?
They should have had 1280x720 as the "minimum" as at least that would have been a standard resolution...

In any case, Thank You all for the replies.
At least now I know why its doing this... and thats there is just no way to change it...
~Peace

The only way to get around this with your laptop is an externally connected monitor (which completely defeats the purpose of a laptop).

Super late but I had the same problem but I just switched the orientation of my computer screen from landscape mode into portait mode and now I can see everything.
