Hey guys, I was just wondering why is my Search box in Premiere Pro CS6 grayed out and unusable? I have about 500 assets and sequences and it is a pain to look for things with the search box grayed out like that. Please help Thank you! I am running it on Windows 7 64-bit.

Hay,

i have a lot of files (music, picutres, sounds, films etc) i have a lot of problems with searching files.

after the update Adobe Premiere pro Cc 2018 sept i have still problems with the search function. see please attachment. Screen Shot 2018-09-10 at 22.34.30.png.

And does someone know if i can search for instance a picture of sequence or film?

also with the "Apple F" function it did not work... i can only use veruy strange criteria fi. label of frame rates, but not the criteria i use a lot like folder, picture, of sequence, or film...

thanks a lot

I'm currently working on a very small, very light project, so my solution may not be possible for every one.

What I did to correct this issue was:

1. Open the project with the unusable search bar;

2. Create a fresh new project;

3. Copied and pasted the entire content of the project where the search bar was unusable to the new one.

Worked two times in a row in two different projects.

It works for a while until it fails again.
All the Media Cache workarounds did not work either.

I guess it has something to do with premiere failing to index like half of the audio-tracks (they play alright and are getting published too). All the source files are from the same source, same codec as well. So that's not it. This is so annoying.
