Why is Radial Wipe now obsolete and what should I use instead?

I find this effect to be incredibly useful (note I'm talking about the video effect, not the video transition) but I noticed it is under the "Obsolete" category. Should I be worried that it will be deprected/removed soon? What should I use instead? Thanks.

There's still radial wipe in After Effects if you lose the one in Premiere.

sure but i hope that's not adobe's answer -- as much as they've streamlined the inter-operation between those two apps, i hope there is a replacement in premier but perhaps under a different name?

Adobe gets rid of filters and transition we use and alos changes the GUI to something worse than we had before.

Adobe don't take away the transitions. Make them GPU accelerated.
