Wipe transition with irregular border?

Hi,

I have a camera above my table, looking down, while I demonstrate a project. I'd like to do a wipe where I sweep my arm over the table and it transitions to something else being on the table. So I need a wipe that follows the irregular shape of my arm and hand. Any ideas how to do this?

Thank you,

  Bob

You can use a mask and keyframe.

Pretty easy to do. You just need to create a mask for your arm for the top layer. Then create a mask for your lower layer to transition out underneath your arm revealing the new content. It's done a lot easier in After Effects though.
