Would more sequences slow down the project?

In premiere pro cc 2017, if I create more sequences instead of creating a long sequence, would it slow down the project (a large one with several Ts of footage)?

no, the number of sequences in your project has no effect on the overall speed and responsiveness of Premiere.

Hi Ellen

As far as playback goes, Premiere only deals with the frames it's currently playing. So the length of the sequence doesn't really come into play. Loading the project of course depends on a lot of variables including amount of assets, pre cached waveforms, linking of external assets like AE comps, etc.

Hope this helps,

Steve
