Zoom in/out on sequence shortcut isn't working

New Here ,

This seemingly happened overnight. I'm using 23.4.0 and my "Zoom in" and "Zoom out" on sequqnce short cuts aren't working properly, instead of "zooming into" the sequence and expanding the x-axis of time, it's exapnding the y-axis and making the clips taller. My keybaord shortcut is the same. I even reset it, I opened Premiere 2022 and things there work like they did before with the exact same keyboard setting.

I, apparently, use this ALL THE TIME so it's a huge issue when trying to get edits done. Anyone know what might be happening here?

This annoyed me for a bit. Finally figured out a way. So my default zoom in shortcut is "Cmd + =" and zoom out is "Cmd + -" . It turns out that with CC23 Premiere has given these as a default shortcut to Increase Video Tracks Height and Decrease Video Tracks Height. I deleted those from shortcuts from my custom keyboard and now the zoom into timeline works.

I got into this same problem yesterday until I remembered that muscle memory was causing it. Are you all sure that you are using + / - (no keyboard modifier) to zoom in and out in the timeline and Ctrl/Cmd + / - for making the track heights taller or shorter?

Unsure if this was resolved. Go into keyboard shortcuts and delete the video track increase and decrease shortcut (Command +/-) Then reapply the shortcut you want to timeline zoom in/out. I had the shortcut assigned to both increase track size and zoom so I had to delete one set of them. Hope that helps.

yes i have solved my issue in premier 2023 the shortcut is set onto other keys you just have to change it by going on keyboard shortcuts and then by selecting the sequence option and scrolling down you will find zoom in and zoom out keys. Change this according to your handy keys shortcut and thanks me later 🙂
