A number of transitions could benefit from easing. Some that come to mind are:
- Push - Slide - Wipe - Split
The Effect Controls interface is so old, I'm not sure how this would be best implemented. It'd be nice, at bare minimum to be able to choose between ease in, ease out, or both (if we can't have full control over bezier handles).
This also needs to be implemented on the cross dissolve transitions as the linear dissolve is not smooth like it is when you have linear compositing unchecked.
Please make this! This is so basic yet so useful. Everytime I have to do a transition that looks a bit nice, I have to import to AfterEffects and then back again. Having control over the transition easing would save so much time and frustration. I think many professionals agree that transitions without easing often look very amateurish.
Sure, you can go in and add key frames to position and ease them. But this would be so useful for editors. Allowing them to add transitions quickly that don't look like ****. The fancy new features like scene detection and auto transcribe audio to subs is impressive, but this would be so much more and useful and I suspect pretty easy to add for the devs.
