As mentioned by several people already, try Captioneer: https://captioneer.com

It has several advantages over Submachine and a few thousand active users.

@Alexandra3670632839up,

See my summary of the several requests for this and vote for that suggestion: it has the most votes.

https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-ideas/request-for-enhanced-animated-caption-options-and-ai-features-in-premiere-pro/idc-p/15057266#M18423

As of today, none of the requests have a  status or a programming staff acknowledgement. That does not mean it is not/will not be worked on. Features are introduced in the Beta version first. And there is still VERY active development of the captioning/text-based editing worklow. A major advance relative to animated captions was the "Upgrade caption to graphic" feature. The plug-ins mentioned below appear to use this and mogrts. It makes the options quite powerful.

As @Kevin-Monahan noted, there are plug-ins that will do this. The only 2 I have looked at are not free, and short trials. SubMachine, that he mentions, has a one week trial and is currently $8 per month, $80 per year, or $150 lifetime. Captioneer has a 14 day free trial, and is $10 per month, $100 lifetime.

Any chance premier pro will put up a feature like this soon? It's something I bet a lot of editors would appreciate.

Hi @Stan Jones,

This thread was created awhile back. By now, I'm sure you know that the latest captioning features allows word-by-word captioning. To add on to that, a plug-in called Submachine is the current solution for Premiere Pro and social media word-by-word captioning with a color highlight.

I hope the info helps.

Thanks,

Kevin

Has anyone been able to figure out how to animate captions in Premiere Pro to match the Express captions style: Blocks. It looks like the image below and the block moves based on what the person is saying.
So far, I have the whole section of captions highlighted in the green color but its not animated like how Express does it. Any help would be useful! Thank you!

Hi @person-A,

Thanks for writing in. This feature is not available as a preset in Premiere Pro. You'd have to create it manually or with a plug-in called "Submachine." I'll merge this post with a similar feature request.

Thanks,
Kevin

No plugin. It would be a "feature request"/Idea.
