100%. Multiple timelines from multiple projects isn't a bad idea but it's badly implemented. It's very easy to lose track of which sequence tab/panel goes with which project tab/panel. It's an unnecessary, frustrating time-waster.
Color coding (not just the tab but the whole panel) would greatly alleviate that confusion. Should be automatic or as simple as changing layer colors in photoshop.
Wow, this would be so awesome. If all the things that are multiples like that could be color coded. I use this feature in AE for layers and it makes it so much faster to quickly identify matte layers, render passes, etc. If we could do this for both layers, sequences, and footage types in Premiere and be able to move those choices with Dynamic Link, it would be such a timesaver.
This would be an incredible addition if you have to export multiple versions of an edit! Will help to minimize mistakes and streamline workflow. Please add, Adobe!!
Man, I'd kill for this. As a trailer editor, having multiple versions and timelines open at once, I can't tell you how many times I've copied and pasted the wrong clip, or typed in the wrong slate number because I misinterpreted which sequence I was in. This would be a great help. Even if the sequence tab was slightly tinted to the color chosen, it'd be infinitely more convenient. Thanks in advance!
I have been wanting this feature for years and it has become even more dire since every project now has multiple deliverables and specs. If I can color-code my sequence tabs, I can easily see which sequence is 16x9, which is square, which is vertical, etc etc etc. Please add this to the next update and give us this versatility!
We definitely need this feature. This is the only way you can open another version of project and not get confused which one is which. Which sequence is from which project. Also when you have Rough Cuts sometimes you can get confused and edit not the latest version just because you opened it for a second and forgot to close. There are so many use cases for sequence colored tabs.
This would be great. Combined with the ability to pin tabs, so they stay at the beginning of the row. And not just for sequences, also for bins, the effects, etc. Right now it's just a mess to scroll through large projects.
I see this has been. 'Under Review' for 3 years now. Typical Adobe.... This would really help when jumping between edit versions with long names which you can't read on the tab, so you know that the one highlighted green is defintely the right sequence....
