FOUR YEARS LATER? Managing a few libraries of purchased templates is a nightmare with this software. I've been using Premiere Pro for only a couple of weeks and can immediately identify how awful the workflow is compared to other CC software. The Essential Graphics panel needs a serious rework and way more organization.
It would really be way more useful if the Essential Graphics Panel displayed/mirrored the operating system folder structure. Especially as most templates are built out and sorted into "packs" i.e. folders when authored. The current file management in EGP is really frustrating to work with and is a real head-scratcher since previous versions had this functionality.
I can't believe Adobe forced that new export window on us while at the same time so stubbornly refusing to listen to feedback from those of us who's workflows do not work with this convoluted mogrt organization in the Essential Graphics panel. My team loves using mogrts but every time we're forced to deal with the organizational structure of the interface it drives us all crazy. Just please allow us to set up folders and sub folders!
Add folders back. Add list view back. I actively avoid Mogrts because there is no intuitive way to organize them. Tagging them with keywords takes a lot longer than box selecting a bunch of them and dropping them into a folder. Workflows are about having OPTIONS not forcing one way is the high-way on users.
Yeah, why did list view go? And the new media import/project creation is also horrid. I feel like the "influencers" need a lesson in workflow and management instead of creating workflows based on "influencers" poor practices.
@scrozier@Jared Isham Is this the list view you're looking for? Just move the slider at the bottom of the EGP Browser all the way to the left. Adjust the size of the previews
I'll have to double check when I'm back in front of my machine, but I think the thing I am frustrated by beyond the folder structure import (which is not really part of this thread) is the new project creation page. It's like it turned up the amateur features and turned off the professional aspects of the program.
They are adding a filtering type of feature back but I think they should just add normal folders. Maybe chime in here on the beta forum if you want folders to just be folders.
